R Pins, also known as R Clips, R Keys, Hairpin Cotter Pins, Spring Cotter Pins, Hitch Pins and Bridge Pins, are so named due to their shape, resembling a capital "R". R Pins are commonly used to secure the ends of round shafts such as clevis pins, tow balls and axles.
The straight section of the R Pin is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in a round shaft until the shaft is met by the semi-circular middle section of the pin.
This R Clip is single coil, zinc plated, has a wire thickness of 5mm (3/16"), and suits a 16-27mm shaft.
Features
Commonly used in applications for trucks, towing and haulage, motor homes, utes, trailers, tray backs, camper trailers and service vehicles. Also used for mining, vehicle body manufacture, transport, marine, government and defence vehicles.
