For Robert Hulburt, working at Ovesco feels a bit like coming full circle. Long before he joined the team, he was already a customer. Many years ago, he came to Ovesco looking for gas struts for a vehicle and quickly learned it was the best place to get them. Fast forward a few years and that positive experience came back into focus when he applied for a role and successfully joined the Ovesco team.
Robert’s connection to the industry runs deep. He has spent many years working in this space and related industries, across a variety of roles. It is familiar territory, but more importantly, it is an industry he genuinely enjoys being part of. That enjoyment shows in the way he approaches his work and the pride he takes in helping customers find the right solutions.
When asked what makes Ovesco a unique place to work, Robert’s answer is simple and sincere. It is a very people oriented company that treats its staff well. From his perspective, that focus on people is not just a slogan, it is something you feel day to day. His advice to customers is equally thoughtful. Every customer and every situation is different, so there is no one size fits all answer. What matters most is personalised assistance. Taking the time to understand what the customer actually needs and tailoring the solution accordingly is where the real value lies.
As a Sales Coordinator, Robert’s role goes beyond retail sales by phone, email or in store. He also spends time out in the field, meeting customers face to face and getting to know their businesses. When he is on the road, he pays close attention to his surroundings, the equipment customers use and the industries operating in the area. This helps him identify potential needs and spark meaningful conversations about how Ovesco and the wider Bulbeck Group can help.
