Your Go-To Guide for HUCK Installation Tools

25 August 2025 Your Go-To Guide for HUCK Installation Tools

When it comes to fastening with confidence, the right tool is just as important as the fastener itself. HUCK’s market-leading installation tools are designed for speed, strength, and consistency giving you reliable results in the toughest environments.

At Ovesco, we’ve been working with HUCK fasteners and tools for decades. Whether you’re in transport, mining, rail, heavy equipment manufacturing, or fabrication, our team can help you match the right tool to the job with expert advice and support. And with dedicated repair and servicing available, we’ll also help you keep your tools performing at their best for the long term.

This guide breaks down the key options we supply and hire, so you can match your project with the right tool every time.

Why HUCK Tools Matter

The strength of a HUCK fastener depends on proper installation. Using the right tool ensures:

  • Consistent, vibration-resistant joints
  • Faster, more efficient assembly
  • Safer operation and reduced rework

From compact battery tools to heavy-duty hydraulic systems, HUCK tools are purpose-built to make fastening stronger, safer, and simpler.

Pneudraulic Tools (Air + Hydraulic Power)

HUCK LH-224

1896 10 P2

The workhorse of the HUCK range in Australia, the LH-224 is lightweight, simple, and versatile. Capable of installing most HUCK fasteners and other rivets up to 1/4" diameter, it’s a popular choice across workshops. At just 2.5kg, it delivers speed and comfort for production environments.

HUCK 256

1896 12 P2

Built for higher-strength applications, the 256 can install up to 20 fasteners per minute with optimum stroke for one-cycle installations. Its concentric pull piston design makes it easy to service, while plated piston rods extend seal life for durability. Suited for larger diameters like 3/8" Magna-Lok or Magna-Grip, this tool is a proven performer in demanding applications.

Battery Tools (Cordless Freedom)

AUA-BV4500-118

Battery Huck Gun2

HUCK’s first cordless gun, developed with Makita®, brings portability and power together. Designed for 4.8mm and 6.4mm HUCK bolts and structural rivets, it offers adjustable pull force control, unique in the cordless market.

Key features include:

  • Brushless motor for long service life
  • One-trigger installation with LED pilot light
  • Up to 1,500 rivets or 500 Huck bolts per charge (6.4mm)
  • Compatible with standard Makita® batteries and chargers

This tool is ideal for mobile crews and site work where hoses or power sources are impractical.

Hydraulic Tools (Heavy-Duty Power)

HUCK 34 OFFSET TOOL 1896 72 P 1

When it comes to the largest HUCK fasteners, hydraulic tools are the solution. Ranging from 1/2" up to 1", these tools deliver the strength needed for C50 bolts and other large-diameter fasteners.

With options including offset and pin-through designs, hydraulic tools allow access in restricted spaces and the ability to eject broken pintails. Built for heavy-duty manufacturing and repair, they’re trusted across mining, rail, and large-scale transport projects.

Nose Assemblies – The Key to Compatibility

No matter the tool, the right nose assembly is essential. From small-diameter Magna-Grip and Magna-Lok assemblies to large C50 and BOM noses, each assembly is engineered for a specific fastener family.

At Ovesco, we stock a wide range of nose assemblies, ensuring you can match your tool to the correct fastener and keep your production line moving.

Powerigs and Hoses

HUCK Electric Hydraulic Powerig 1896 68 P 1

For hydraulic tools, a power source is needed. Ovesco supplies air, electric, and petrol-driven powerigs to suit different environments. Pair these with MDG41-certified hoses for safe, reliable operation.

Hire or Buy – The Choice is Yours

Not every project requires a permanent tool investment. That’s why Ovesco offers flexible HUCK tool hire, from daily to monthly terms. It’s a cost-effective way to access specialist tools for short-term jobs, or to trial equipment before purchase.
