Australians have proven themselves to be eco-conscious in more ways than one. According to a consumer report by Finder.com.au, nearly 9 in 10 surveyed Australians (88%) have reduced their environmental impact in some way. The most common sustainable practices were found to be: using less plastic (62%), using energy-efficient appliances (44%) and installing energy-efficient lighting (42%). These trends are likely driven by both environmental and cost-cutting concerns.

Likewise, according to the Financial Review, electric cars are in more demand than ever in Australia. Waiting lists were at an all-time high in 2022 and the demand for EVs is expected to only boom going forward. Teslas, Volvos, Polestars and BMWs remain the popular choices.
